Please note: If you are thinking of dentistry while you sleep, click here.
One of our newest and largest goals at Pell City Dental is for every one of our patients to be breathing through their nose. If you breathe through your nose while you are asleep, then it is very unlikely that you snore. It also is very unlikely that you suffer from Obstructive Sleep Apnea or UARS (Upper Airway Resistance Syndrome). So much has been learned and/or understood just in the last few years regarding our Airway, Sleep/Breathing disorders and the dentist’s role in this.
It is not surprising that children and adults need different types of help in this area.
Our goal for our child patients is for them to grow into an adult that needs no further treatment for healthy sleep.
Our goal for our adult patients that have sleep breathing issues, is to help them to take their treatment as far as they want to go towards becoming a person that no longer has a sleep/breathing disorder.
